The Man Named Anthony Karan I
find your story The Man Named Anthony fascinating. I love the
explanation of transitional objects in the beginning.
They give a solid foundation about the story. I love the use
of the
traditionalism in the Catholic medal of St. Anthony and the
spiritualism
of the meetings with Carl. I
don't know whether you knew this or not, but St. Anthony is the
patron
saint of lost objects, lost things, lost souls, if you will.
The fact that it was St. Anthony who helped eventually "find"
peace for Tony and Carl has a remarkable undertone. Your
pulling everything together in the last few pages to talk about your
own family
and how they appreciation a knowledge of TO is very well written;
and the
intermingling with the manifestation of love, Carl's
love, Tony's
love, God's love is very effective. You
talked about God's 'favors' at the end. I like that, and I am
almost
think that is another word for what I call
God's 'graces."
God's grace is a gift from God, freely given, and used by us
to "get through life." Robert
