Q. How well do the products freeze, and how long are they good for?

Everything BABS Bakery formulates can also be frozen and refrozen, unlike other products. Nature’s ability to do this allows us to easily recommend it to others. So feel comfortable to freeze anything from the bakery, and it has a great ‘freeze-life’ for at least 2-3 months, just bring out and heat at ---usually 350o--- There is over 7 years of testing in the bakery products, and I worked with Certified Master Baker with The American Institute of Baking (AIB) Rick O’Million for over three years. The bakery products are ok to purchase them frozen from your favorite store, just as if you did at any other store.

Q.What is Bromine and why is it in most flour?

Bromides are a common endocrine disruptor as well as a halide, it competes for the same receptors that are used in the thyroid gland to capture iodine. Bromide can be found in several forms, such as Methyl Bromide being a pesticide used mainly on strawberries, and Brominated Vegetable Oil (BVO) is added to citrus drinks to help suspend the flavoring in the liquid, just to name a few. Potassium Bromate is a dough conditioner found in commercial bakery products and some flours. Bromine toxicity is surprising in how many products contain them. The fact being that they are common endocrine disruptors in the halide family, a group of elements that includes fluorine, chlorine and iodine. Thus your body has a hard time holding onto iodine affecting all tissues, not just the thyroid.

Bromated flour is “enriched” with potassium bromate and commercial baking companies claim it makes the dough more elastic and better able to stand up to bread hooks. However, there are successful companies that manage to use only unbromated flour without any of these so-called “structural problems.” At one time commercial use only used bromated flour in wholesale production and was nearly impossible to buy flour in a grocery store without it.

One year around Christmas time a lady approached me in the doctor’s waiting room and after debating a moment she asked: “Do you feel the spirit of Christmas this year, you look as though you do? I don’t think I will find it.” I replied to her, “ Well, I feel it all year long.” “How do I do that?” she inquired. Before I was able to answer her, she was called into the examining room. As she got up and walked down the hall I could hear her telling the nurse how much more pain she is in now than the last visit to the doctor. So I waited until she came out and then I said, “Here is my answer, when you least expect the spirit of joy within the season, it will be there. That is when you grab onto that feeling and go to bed each night with it. Close your eyes and remember it whenever you cannot feel it and it will come to you. That is the feeling of love.” She had such a smile on her face as she said to me, “I will, I will, thank you so much for the hope of the Spirit of Christmas this year with me.”

Seasonal herbs, plants, fruits and even the seasons themselves are holidays. They are Natures Miraculous Holidays. Each season and its ‘fruits’ from God were meant to benefit the body, mind and spirit to carry you throughout the year to the next season to heal again. My coconut oil did/did not have tiny hard granules before. Why does my coconut oil sometimes seem to have these tiny hard granules? They melt, but not as easily. Is my coconut oil spoiled? No it is not spoiled when it does this. It is due to temperature change and the 11 fatty acids. Each has a different melting point of and around 76 degrees. Temperatures above this allow them to re-group in 3’s in to the triglycerides. So possibly 1-6-8 can re-group, or 2-7-9 can and have a variable melting point. Q. Do you use traditional sugar cake icing? I am a diabetic and wanted to know. The icing is not recommended for a diabetic. Some diabetics eat various foods with sugar, and that is their choice. The ingredients in BABS Bakery icing are energetically combined for better digestion and to create a glycemic friendly result, but not formulated for a diabetic or anyone with sugar issues. Regular icing ingredients- : 1.) Butter- crème: Powdered sugar, butter, water, coconut oil, vanilla, spelt, cumin, fennel, coriander, acidophilus. 2.) Veg-White Icing: Powder sugar, vegetable shortening, & or lard, water, coconut oil, spelt, tapioca, vanilla, cumin, fennel, coriander, acidophilus. Meringue powder will vary in ingredients.
